I suggest you uninstall it using the Java uninstall tool. Also, you can remove it manually using the instructions provided by the developer. If none of these methods helped you, try to uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
I can't update Java due to "Error 25099 Unzipping Core Files Failed" message. I have tried many different ways and I have failed. I tried to disable the Windows Firewall, my antivirus programs, and also I tried to manually download the newest version. What can I do?

The latest version of J2SE is J2SE(TM) Development Kit 5.0 Update 11 and it can be downloaded from the official web page. Check the Accept License Agreement box and click the download link next to Windows Offline Installation. After the installation process is complete run Java Uninstall Tool which will detect and remove the Java versions that are outdated.
How can I fix the runtime error that forces me to reboot the computer? It is very annoying.

In order to fix the issue, remove the application using Add or Remove Programs feature or Java Uninstall Tool and download and install the latest version available from the official web page. Also, after the removing process is complete, run a registry cleaner to make sure that there are no leftover rogue registry keys in your system.
